Mission

Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is to provide, protect and preserve regional parklands for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of this and future generations.

History

County Park’s five decade legacy of providing outstanding recreational opportunities in beautiful natural locations has resulted in one of the largest regional park systems in California.  Since the first County parkland was acquired in 1924, the Santa Clara County park system has grown to include 29 regional parks encompassing nearly 48,000 acres of land.

The Department is committed to providing outdoor recreation opportunities that inspire you and your family to get healthy while enjoying Santa Clara County’s beautiful park system.  So, go outside and play!
